How To Write A Hit Single

For this month’s issue, Q scribe Johnny Sharp went into the studio and attempted to create a hit pop record – with a little help from professionals Betty Boo and Nigel Hoyle.

Johnny said he was "expecting a huge soundproof studio. Instead it was a bedroom with a laptop, stereo, microphone and a guitar. But they still managed to turn our unremarkable acoustic strumalong into a swoon-inducing pop ballad in a few hours."
