Beck's new album 'The Information' has been disqualified from the UK charts because of the make-your-own-sleeve-with-stickers packaging it comes with. A sticker sheet is provided so that fans can design their own album cover, however the Official Chart Company has ruled that this constitutes an unfair advantage over competitors, presumably because stickers are amazing and people might be tempted to buy the album just for them, even if they hate Beck. Beck has commented, "It's an unconventional package, but it shouldn't be penalized for that. Any art on a CD is an incentive to buy and listen. Ultimately, it doesn't matter."

Imagine my surprise when I bought a collection of stickers and and album to put them in to find a Beck album in there. It was great too. The best freebie since flexi discs on Frosties in the late 80's... I've still got my Thunderbirds are go one. By Noel Gallagher.
