Known to his friends as 'Curly Stroke' (probably), Albert Hammond Jr. has broken away from his bandmates – temporarily we're assured – to create a solo album, entitled Yours To Keep. His father a successful artist in his own right Albert has recently complained of his songs being rejected by the other Strokes, in favour of sticking with Julian Casablancas' writing. The album is a way of getting those songs, and ultimately a bit of singing, off his chest.
