Yes, spacejunk, they released "beautiful days"in 2001 I think, and some gifted journalists (Q journalists included) remarked the great similitude between the two songs. And U2 have admitted it!!They said Bono was listening to the a-ha s'1st album during the work in the studio... It was Bono who wtote the "a-ha"part...
They even sang the song with the line "the sun always shines...." at a swedish show!

Well, as U2 are so nice, so bighearted, I think it is high time they should give some credit to a-ha for the song "beautiful day", and pay a-ha the money they owe to them, shouldn't they?
Cause U2 love noble cause.
So, for once, U2, stop asking other people to give money... Do it yourself...Give the money back to a-ha !It is money you have stolen to them, after all...
Be as wonderful as you want us to believe you are!

u2 have to be the most over-rated band of all time. bland, boring, preaching, style-retarded, tax-dodging, song stealing, corporate c**k sucking, clowns. i've no time for them, and i'm irish. and as for bono and his warmongering bum-chums bush and blair, give me a break. this band needs to be stopped.

Martin, it just shows how great they are!

Maybe they were 'great-ish' up until "The Joshua Tree", but then it all started to sound a little bit samey. The word "boring" springs to mind. It just seems like because they didn't get the "Best band In The World Today" award, some other award was trumped up for them. What'll be next year: "Outstanding Contribution To Music"? "Lifetime Achievement Award"? How about the "U2 Award For Being U2"? U2 must be as bored with it all as I am.
And That Award The Edge got for being "innovative". He's about as innovatative as my arse.

I see Bono was singing with Kylie Minouge on the weekend on her comeback from Breast cancer. I am delighted that Kylie made a full recovery but why was Bono singing with her ??? For God's sake is there any Bandwagon that this man will not jump on??? I am as Irish as they get but they are a poor band who are about 15 years past their best

Message for Martin: Is it so that you have such an outstanding arse or are you so full of shit that it begins to come out of your mouth? PEACE ON EARTH!
And Mr O'Brien: Frustration is a BAD counsellor.
And Mr Donal Neill: Maybe Kylie wanted it? For a band who is already 15 years past it's best U2 is doing very well.
