Bob Dylan signs up for BBC 6 Music show

Comments

Does Bob Dylan have ambitions to become the new Chris Moyles? Covering subjects as diverse as cars, whisky, the police and the weather, Dylan has been sharing his thoughts on his very own radio show, The Theme Time Radio Hour, on US station XM Satellite Radio since May of this year, and now he’s set to get an airing on this side of the Atlantic too.

The weekly show, in which Dylan also plays some of his favourite music is to be broadcast on BBC 6 Music on Fridays at 9pm from 12 January next year. There will also be previews of some of the more recent shows on BBC Radio 2 during Christmas week.

Dylan told the BBC, "A lot of my own songs have been played on the radio, but this is the first time I've ever been on the other side of the mic."

What songs would you like to hear Bob play, and what topics would you like him to cover? Which other stars would make good radio hosts? Have your say here.

  • I'd like to hear him play 'Paper Cuttings' by a young Englsih singer songwriter Fran O'Hanlon - it's a beautifuyl song that I think everyone should get a chance to hear.
