Axl Rose has thrown Josh Homme’s side project Eagles of Death Metal off Guns n Roses tour after they were poorly received at a gig last week.
The band were playing the Cleveland leg of the Chinese Democracy tour when reports say they were booed for the entirety of their set with some of the Guns fans later calling the band’s show "horrid at best" and describing their music as "pretty fucking lame," with a set of songs that sounded "almost the same."
A few songs into his own set, Axl Rose said: "So, how'd you like the Pigeons of Shit Metal? Don't worry, that's the last show they're playing with us."
According to Metal Injection, Eagles of Death Metal’s lead singer Jesse Hughes responded with this statement: “At first the audience refused to welcome us to the jungle, but by the time we took our final bow it had become paradise city. Although Axl tried to November rain on our parade, no sweet child o’ mine can derail the EODM night train. We say live and let die.”
It’s not exactly surprising that Axl, America’s answer to Noel Gallagher in the diplomacy stakes, has insulted someone. Past encounters include fights with the police force, Tommy Hilfiger, Mötley Crüe, all of his band mates and audience members, and that’s before causing riots with 90 minute delays.

Holy shit, wtf. K first of all, no shit the goddamn AXLE ROSE fans bood off Eagles of death metal, jesus christ. In all honesty they have no real taste in music so their opinions are void from the get go. Yes Eagles of Death Metal arent all great, but wtf, guns and roses are entirely shit. beggining to end. so they cant pick and choose what they think is worthy of bering with them, they should be so lucky to have the enitre world population mostly ignorant to what actually goes on in music. jesus.

What needs to be understood is EODM's take of their own music...Homme and Hughes are both INSANELY talented(TCV is a perfect example of Homme's brilliance), and they made this music for fun, which if you listen to it, is EXACTLY that. It just makes you wanna drive 100mph through the desert with some enforcers, liquor, and WAY too many drugs to be consumed by a single car load of people. Nobody said it had to be technically amazing to be good music...I mean look at GNR...their shit has always sucked hardcore technically, and somehow people still like them. The funny part is people who like GNR don't generally like ANY other bands, and people who like other bands don't like GNR... Go Eagles
