US rapper, and once protégé of 50 Cent, The Game has accused the New York Police of ‘setting him up’ following his arrest for impersonating a police officer last Thursday.
The Game, real name Jayceon Taylor, alledgedly told a taxi driver that he was a police officer and convinced him to run red lights after his appearance on The Late Show With David Letterman.
When inevitably pulled over by police and arrested, Taylor, stringently denied impersonating an officer of the law. "This is a ploy by the hip-hop police to humiliate me because they harass and follow me every single time I come to New York.” He added, “I never impersonated anyone, especially and absolutely never a police officer."
