The Polyphonic Spree derobe!

Comments

The Polyphonic Spree have de-robed into a new sexed-up all black combat kit, with hearts, red crosses and a robed Polyphonic Spree embroidered logo. The new look is all in aid of their forthcoming new album, The Fragile Army.

“The heart is a symbol of care and thoughtfulness,” says the Spree’s leader, Tim DeLaughter. “The cross represents first aid...all these as humans, we're capable of. It's just a reminder. We are The Fragile Army.” So there you are, then.

The band are to return on 7 November with q new digital-only EP Wait, which includes two tracks from the album I'm Calling and Mental Cabaret, along with covers of Nirvana’s Lithium, Love My Way by The Psychedelic Furs and Sonic Bloom by DeLaughter's former band, Tripping Daisy.

What do you think of The Polyphonic Spree's new look? A refreshing change, or a bit harsh and maybe they should reconsider the hippy robes? Have your say on this story by leaving a comment below.

  • It makes me a bit sad that they don't look happy and bouncy!!! The EP 'Wait' is quite different to their other stuff too.... hmmmm maybe it's a grower!!
