U2 win battle against ex-stylist

Comments

Not quite as dignified as fighting world poverty, but U2 have managed to win their court battle against their former stylist who reportedly took clothes from the band years before.

Lola Cashman has had to hand over a cowboy hat and clothes taken during the band's Joshua Tree tour in 1987, worth around £3,400. She claimed Bono had stuck the hat on her head when she'd asked him for it on the last night of the tour, and that the other items were gifts.

As well as trying to reclaim photos, rosaries and other items apparently seen in the stylist's flat, the band had been fighting with her over the Stetson cowboy hat, some metal hoop earrings, black trousers and a green sweatshirt after she put them up for auction in Christie's in 2002.

At least they'll be nice and cosy next time they're on Live Aid.

Is it worth getting in such a flap about clothes, even if you are Bono and your clothes are made out of social conscience? Tell us what you think.

  • i think if Bono intends to raffle of the items for charity, or other worthy causes then i think it is worth getting them back as it could make a difference to someone who needs it.

  • That is crap .If Bono knew the important issues in Irish news that have been cast aside for his tantrum over some rags he'ed probably shit himself . Those pants he's been whinging about probably don't fit anymore and the HAT well it would'nt fit his big arrogant head.Shut up Bono no - one cares whether some physco stylist stole your "DELICATES"
