It seems - pun definitely intended - that they are indeed back for good. Take That have made the top spot in both the album and the single charts this week with Beautiful World and Patience respectively. The Mancunian über-boy band's comeback single has held onto the Number 1 position for the second week, keeping Akon and Eminem in second place with Smack That, with Bootyluv's Boogie 2Nite at Numver 3 from last week's 19. The highest new entry is Nelly Furtado at Number 4 with All Good Things.
"I never dreamt this could happen," Gary Barlow told the BBC yesterday (3 December). "If you'd told me this 14 months ago, that we'd have a number one album and single in the same week, I'd never have believed you. It's like a fairytale."
Take That have also held off the likes of Il Divo's Siempre (Number 2), Stop The Clocks by Oasis (#3), Westlife's The Love Album (#4) and the Beatles remix album Love (#5) to shoot straight to the Number 1 spot in the album charts.
