Just a few days after he was spared jail for drugs offences, Pete Doherty was questioned by police yesterday following the death of an actor at a party in Whitechapel at the weekend.
Marc Blanco, a friend of Doherty’s, was due to perform in a production of The Accidental Death of An Anarchist this week before he attended a party given by the singer’s publisher Paul Roundhill and fell from the second floor balcony – ironically how the Anarchist died in the play. He was taken to hospital in the early hours of Sunday morning, but died there on Monday. Accounts vary as to what happened in the house, with a source telling Metro that a group of people took a dislike to the actor and started hounding him, while The Sun saying that Blanco pinned Doherty against a wall.
Roundhill denied this last saying "They didn't have an argument. Mark was talking to Peter very excitedly about his play…There wasn't a party at the flat, there was two girls and me and then a few more people including Pete came.”
However a source told The Sun, “Blanco arrived at Paul’s a little drunk. He and Pete started to niggle each other. It turned into a full blown argument, with insults being thrown on both sides. The argument got physical and Roundhill stepped in to break it up. He then asked Blanco to leave. A few minutes later some lads came rushing up to say there was a man lying in the street.”
Doherty left the party after the incident.

I know the parties involved in the Mark BLanco death, and have attended many parties at Paul Row (roundhill)'s flat. Roundhill's life is all about worshiping Pete Doherty. He actually has hours of video footage of Pete Doherty sleeping, simply sleeping- the most boring thing you could watch to any sane person- and he is so infatuated with Doherty that he tapes Pete's every movement when he is around, and replays it constantly when Doherty is not present. He lives to impress Pete, as do all of the star-struck crackheads pete surrounds himself with. I have often witnessed people being bullied and taunted around Doherty...and i have been at Roundhill's when people have been beaten up and thrown out. Roundhill, upon seeing that Doherty and Headlock were taunting and scoffing at Blanco, immediately jumped in and started fucking with Blanco - as did Headlock- to impress and please Doherty. They took him outside and Headlock threw him over after DOherty had beat Blanco. THis comes from a person that was there- that wished to remain anonymous! All three should be in jail for life,.,.,,I used to be a fan of Pete's music- now i am sickened by him.. Police- investigate this and put them in jail.

Its common knowledge what happened in the Ro flat - they have overstepped the line - pain will be something these affected types with not too familiar with - yet. People forget - people have friends & families. Someone should run a book on Roundhill & Dohertys joey headlock getting some - soon.

Why does Pete Doherty, the drug addict, get so much media attention? Is it his passing aquaintance with the work of William Blake? The fact he won a poetry competition at the age of 12? Or his thin little voice which oscillates between a whisper and a shout? Or, more likely, is it the holy cynical Max clifford like, instinct to align himself with high profile models, truly accomplished musicians such as Shane MacGowan and attractive young heiresses? I was a good friend of Marc Blanco and he was an extremely bright and accomplished Cambridge graduate who would probably have ended up teaching at one of Britian's finest educational institutions. However, his life was cut short because unfortunately he embroiled himself with a violent 'poet' and his cronnies for a few hours one evening and ended up beaten and dead under circumstances which have ever been properly investigated to this day. An admission of guilt to murder by one member of the party present on that night was obviously not enough for the Met who decided the man needed psychiatric help, surely he would receive support in prison? Doherty should be staved of the oxygen of publicity. This collective fascination with a man who represents musical mediocrity and the ramblings of a self-pitying addict are usually reserved for the impressionable and pubescent boys..Doherty should be recieving treatment and Marc's death should be fully re-investigated and the public should be afforded full transparency in the process.
