As far as bizarre rock behaviour goes, this is pretty much up there with Ozzy Osborne asking you to speak a little more clearly and not to swear so much. While that may not have happened (yet), it's been revealed that Primal Scream frontman Bobby Gillespie, whose behaviour in the '90s was the stuff of legend, got in a right huff with his council over excessive noise levels.
The Independent says that in 2006 the singer joined his neighbours in sending a letter of complaint to Islington Council saying that the Alma Pub on Newington Green had been "playing recorded music at an unacceptable volume past 12 o'clock".
Gillespie, who lives with his wife and two young sons and only two years ago played such a rowdy set at Glastonbury that organisers were forced to cut their microphone wires, said that a licence extension would cause the pub to be, "disturbing the peace of our beautiful street and attracting noisy, drunk people to our area leaving the premises or coming into the area looking for a late-night drink - who are incidentally just [as loud] if not louder than the music being played". So nothing whatsoever like Primal Scream then.
Luckily for the outraged homeowner, the council reached a compromise. Although the pub could extend its opening hours to 1am and play music, it could only do so once a month.

I like to party like the next person but when its time to sleep, its time to sleep. NOTHING makes me as angry as being woken up, especially after a bender.
As far as my fave rock story, the one about a groupie, some roadies with Marylin Manson, piss and "meat helmets" is about the most mingin' I've ever heard. My fave is Ozzy osbourne and the bat - legendary and funny too
