The Police are planning their first tour in over 20 years this summer, according to a radio station in Vancouver.
The Canadian city's classic rock station CFMI reported that the band will rehearse their summer reunion tour at Lions Gate Studio and that details of the dates will be formally announced next month.
The band are also rumoured to be performing in the opening part of the Grammy award ceremony on February 11, although awards organisers remain tight-lipped on the possibility. If they do, this will be only their third performance together since Amnesty concerts in 1986.
Will you be going if it's all true, or have they missed the boat?

Absolutely. I have enjoyed the solo performances and was willing to accept that a reuinion would never happen, but there is always hope in the hearts of the true believers!

abso-bleedin'-lutely will i be there!! cannot wait.. at last gordo can remind people that he was actually incredible as part of the police.... the songs, man, i hope it's just the three of them, and some nice old songs; visions of the night, peanuts, next to you..... although looking at where they're rehearsing there could be lots of them on stage (lion rock studios in vancouver; where they made the muppet christmas carola nd catwoman).

My daughter is 14 and son is 10 and they both insist we play The Police when we are in the car. It is a tribute to this outstanding band that kids still recognise their music as proper music -even though my 10 year old does not know the true meaning of Roxanne

Mightn't it just be that you play them a lot and thats why your kids like them, mmmmm? I mean, my kids like Front 242

A special trio who made some special music. Hope Stewart doesnt let his gym subscription expire. A few years older maybe, but still the best drummer ever. Bring it on, boys.
