Norah Jones has beaten indie new-rave pioneers, Klaxons, to secure the 800th number 1 album in the UK.
Her album Not To Late follows 2002's Come Away With Me and 2004's Feels Like Home to the top spot in the charts, narrowly beating Klaxons' Myths Of A Near Future which got to number 2. Other new entries in the chart included Jamie T's Panic Prevention at four and Just Jack's Overtones at six.
Mika held the number 1 spot in the singles charts for the third week running with Grace Kelly, while Akon was the only top 10 new entry with I Wanna Love You. Recent number 1 Take That's forthcoming single Shine entered the chart at 30 three weeks before its physical release, while Gwen Stefani's Sweete Escape managed 23 with the same time to go.
Which makes Kasabian at 22 a bit rubbish considering they released it last week. Oh well.
