Kaiser Chiefs celebrated their first Number One single last night, as they ended Mika's six-week reign at top spot with their new single, Ruby. The track, which is the first single to be taken from their second album, Yours Truly Angry Mob, crept to the top from last week's Number Two. The band, who were preparing to go onstage in Wolverhampton, wrote on their web site: "Thanks a million to all of you who have bought the record, we couldn't have wished for a better response." Their tour continues tonight (26 February) in Newcastle, before starting a three-night residency at London's Shepherd's Bush Empire on Thursday.

In other chart news, there were no new entries in the singles chart at all, while Mika also lost out on the Number One album, as Amy Winehouse's Back To Black took the top slot.
