Kasabian have been talking about some possible new turns for the follow up to their second album Empire, and it's an odd one.
Bassist Serge Pizzorno told Gigwise.com, "We're angry. So the album's going to be angry. It's completely different to the first two. More like Bosnian folklore music." What on earth is he on about? And can we expect a raft of bands to now claim "there's always been a Bosnian folklore element to our music"?
Perhaps there's something in the air. Only last month, Snow Patrol's Gary Lightbody recently told Q about his new solo project, Listen...Tanks!, describing it as "Russian seafaring music" - as if we all knew what that sounded like. Next month: Coldplay unveil their challenging new Bolivian nose flute direction.
Brilliant or beyond bananas? What do you think about Kasabian's new direction.
