As well as indulging in the obligatory rock pastimes of drinking, bowling and beard-growing, The New York Fund have spent a year priming their public at dozens of gigs around the UK (headlining, and supporting Ed Harcourt, M.Ward, Modest Mouse, Feeder, OK Go, The Frames and Captain), writing great songs, and setting up rather unconventional recording studios in church halls, bedrooms and a squash court. Named after a jar of change on top of singer Joe McAdam's fridge (still not enough for a pair of plane tickets, though), their first release, the Guns EP, is ready for action and you can see the video to The Guns Of Camden Town right here. Completely awesome... country twang instead of the usual garage boredom rock.

A fantastic band - great EP, and one of the best live bands I've seen in a long time. Lovely tshirts!
