Guns N' Roses drummer Steven Adler has hinted at a reunion of the original line-up in an interview on his official MySpace page.
Adler, who left the band in 1990, said he had been in contact with Axl Rose about a potential reunion.
"I saw Axl, talked with him from, shit, what was it? 10 or 12 at night to 8 in the morning, we talked. We resolved a lot of fucking shit! I said, 'You know the five of us have to get back together! That's when it will really fucking take off again! Nothing will be bigger. It would be the biggest reunion ever in history'.
"He just grinned and giggled a little bit. Everybody in his band came up to me and said, 'You're the greatest fucking drummer!. We tell Axl, 'You gotta get the band back together'!" That's what they said to HIM!"
Adler also said he'd been in contact with ex-guitarist Slash, now in Velvet Revolver, and former rhythm guitarist Izzy, who has been making guest appearances with the current Guns N' Roses line-up: "I've been talking with Slash. I've been talking with Izzy. He wants a reunion."
Axl Rose and the current Guns N' Roses line-up are releasing the long-awaited album Chinese Democracy on 5 March.

It would be sweet, wouldn't it? I saw Velvet Revolver on their last tour in Manchester and Cardiff. They were amazing! I also saw Axl and his band last year. They were good, but when Axl wasn't on stage, it was just a good cover band.
With Axl taking so long over this album, it would be such an odd turn to put the old band back together. Would that be him putting his hands up and saying @yea, I needed these guys after all.'?
If they do, I'll do anything to get to a show. It's a bloody big 'if' though, isn't it?

Steve Adler is a leech! Leeching of the name that is Guns N’ Roses. Gun’s was far better with Matt in the seat.
Spreading these ‘rumours’ just to get some publication. Guns will never get back together. Axl & Slash are too busy doing their own things.

I have mixed feelings: I mean, why reunite NOW, 15 years after their last show together, just when the new record is about to come out? I wouldn't make much sense from any point of view, especially considering the 13 million dollar invoice attached to the new album...that's not to say that it wouldn't be huge, but... I moved on, really... GN'R meant the world to me in 1993, but now in 2007...and you you what's even more ironic? After listening to the new tunes on youtube, I really feel that it wouldn't have been too much of a stretch for the original lineup to play those songs...a reunion now would simply mean that they flushed 15 years down the drain...pure and simple...

I don't think they would have the same drive as they had back in the early days. Look how polished and over-the-top Use Your Illusion was compared with Appetite For Destruction. But at the same time, I'd love to see the original line-up live.

i really doubt the band getting back together, i think their all over that but a world tour would rock my world. I think GNR are the greatest band in history but Slash, get off the drugs man!

I think it's possible. They'll make a lot of money with this and 13millions will be back and I think they want to play together again.
Velvet Revolver is good but not as good as old GNR was and would be and I think that Scott Weiland isn't a good singer. In the new GNR there's Axl but he is alone and the other part of the band is only like a revival band.

I think a reunion would do wonders for all the hard core fans around the world who grew up listening to GNR one of rocks biggest bands of all time. But its finally upto the original memebers to live up to their chemistry. For me I would love if they returned especially with no good music (not like their sound) around.

Many web sites are saying really bad stuff about GNR, especially for Axl. My advce: don`t believe that stuff! thats just shit! And my answer is: Yes, i believe that some day GNR will be together again, because they are really cool guys. So, take care...

They are able to enter the rock hall of fame in 2012 so maybe they will get back together for a world tour then. being 18 i didnt get the chance to see them play live but i have seen VR 4 times and the first two times the where fuckin awesome but the last two times it wasnt a sell out and the where shit. so dont loose hope yet GNR REUNION COME ON!!!!!!!!!!!!

C'mon Axl!!! You cantancerous old sonofabitch! I know you can never "swallow your pride", but you absolutely MUST do this before you die!?!? YOU MUST. All it will take to relax milliions of GNR fans' assholes is a fucking phone call. I feel the same way about Greg Allman and Dickey Betts. Recoginize that your lifelong fans deserve a reunion of the OLD BAND by any means necessary because you wouldn't be where you are with out us! PLEASE, on bended knee. I don't give a FUCK if you're 50 years old - get up on any stage in the lower 48 and spit fire and spill out your anger like the old days. You must realize that we're all knocking on heaven's door, and if you have the balls to wail on us together onstage before you can't do it anymore, you need us as much as we need you. No hard feelings and no regrets - just leave it all onstage for one last summer for us, will you, man????
