Should you have chanced upon a billboard of a skinny bloke looking very serious in an assortment of Fred Perry shirts (see left), you might have noticed that it's The Rakes' Alan Donohoe.
Donohoe has been chosen as the face of the company's global campaign for 2007, which means moolah and more clothes for the skinny frontman.
Richard Martin, Fred Perry's head of marketing, said: "It made sense to work with The Rakes as we know the band are big fans and wear our product. I think they typify the spirit of Fred Perry... both never follow the crowd and are distinctive in look and sound."
The fact that Alan Donohoe is an impossibly skinny clothes horse might have helped as well.

I think the new Fred Perry contract will really help Alan. The added weight from the clothes will help prevent him from blowing away whenever a stiff breeze rushes up.
