As part of his tour of Tokyo, Michael Jackson has dropped by a US airbase to greet thousands of troops and their families.
During the tour he attended a ceremony to watch one member being promoted, and pinned the badge onto his uniform.
He gave a speech calling the troops at Camp Zuma "some of the most special people in the world".
"It is because of you in here today, and others who so valiantly have given their lives to protect us, that we enjoy our freedom," he told the crowd.
Jacko then went and slightly spoiled the effect by accepting a framed certificate of his visit from the garrison commander. Next stop, the Jacko Blue Peter badge...

Well, I must say, this is rather amusing no?
Wacko Jacko, I do find it a little odd that he gets a certificate for, well doing what we should all be doing. The sooner the ''war'' is over, the better.
