Tickets go on sale this week for the European premiere of the entirety of Lou Reed’s 1973 album Berlin.
These rare performances will see Reed performing with a 30-piece ensemble including his band, a string and horn section, and a children’s choir. “I only do this every 30 years,” says Reed. “One time, one time only."
The concerts start in Brussels on 18 June, and will take in Holland, France, Germany, Britain and Italy before Reed plays two UK concerts at the London Hammersmith Apollo on Saturday 30 June and Sunday 1 July.
Tickets for the London concerts will go on sale at 9am this Friday, 16 March.
