Noel to headline Manchester charity bash

Noel Gallagher will play a headliner set at this year's Versus Cancer charity event at Manchester's MEN Arena on 30 March.

Noel will play a semi-acoustic with a few surprise guests appearing throughout. Other acts include Paul Weller, Ian Brown, The Charlatans and Echo and the Bunnymen.

The event is being staged by the Great Northern Aid Trust (greatnorthernaidtrust.org) with all proceeds going towards cancer research and awareness, Christies Hospital in Manchester being one of the main charities to benefit from the gig.
