60s soul legends The Drifters were involved in a car crash early this morning (Monday 12 March) in Yorkshire.
The veteran group, famous for songs like Under The Boardwalk and Save The Last Dance For Me, were travelling to London from a gig in Newcastle when their car hit another vehicle that had swerved to avoid a deer on the M1 near Rotherham.
Band member Patrick Alan is being treated for head injuries in hospital, while the other three members were released with superficial injuries and allowed to carry on to London.
