Did you know that Maroon 5's debut album, Songs About Jane, sold 10 million copies? Frankly, we're astonished. No-one does that anymore. It's probably something to do with the 'one size fits all' nature of their sound. Rock music buffed to an R&B-style production sheen, tracks like This Love fit into just about every demographic going. That's why radio programmers love them.
And OK we admit, in a guilty pleasure kind of way, we've always had a soft spot for She Will Be Loved.
Anyway, you can watch the video to the lantern-jawed LA quartet's new single, Makes Me Wonder, here. The track itself, all diamond-drill harmonies and speaker-rattling bass, is so ruthlessly, mercilessly catchy it's actually sort of frightening.
