After a funereal start to the year in terms of album releases (sales down year-on-year by 10%, music industry moguls displaying all the optimism of igloo salesmen in a desert), spirits have been lifted by the rush for Arctic Monkeys' second album Favourite Worst Nightmare. And – hallelujah! – the Sheffield lads' opus signals a veritable procession of high profile and/or eagerly awaited records en route to a record shop/download store near you throughout this summer.
But which of the following bands or artists' potential summer blockbusters are you most looking forward to?
The White Stripes
Hard-Fi
James Blunt
Athlete
Foo Fighters
Kanye West
KT Tunstall
Editors

The James Blunt album will go down like a lead balloon. Looking forward to the Hard Fi stuff though. Will be interesting to see how they build on Stars Of CCTV.

i cant pick between kanye west and hard-fi i realy enjoyed their last albums. the new kt tunstall song sounds like everything else shes done so im not going to bother with that, and james blunt will have to pull out all the stops to make an album as successful as back to bedlam.
