Arctic Monkeys Go Top Ten In America
Last Sunday, Arctic Monkeys second album, Favourite Worst Nightmare, debuted at Number One in the UK. No surprise there. Today, however, they’ve entered the US album chart at Number 7, seventeen places higher than the initial chart position of last year’s What People Say I Am, That’s What I’m Not. However, despite the significantly higher chart position the new album sold 44,000 copies, just 10,000 more than its predecessor.
Here they are tearing through Dancing Shoes at Coachella last weekend.

The Brit bands are head and shoulders above the bands from the colonies, The Artic Monkeys are the the newest example of great bands stretching back to the great British bands of the sixties!!!
