Secret Garden Party is not like other festivals. Refreshingly free of corporate sponsorship (it’s rumoured to be funded by Lord Frederick Windsor, Prince William's cousin), it takes place in 100 acres of lush countryside near Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, and boats such non-musical attractions as floating dance floors, an ever-moving stone circle, tree houses, dressing-up boxes and an “alternative Olympics”.
Running from 26-29 July, the line-up is suitably leftfield. This year’s acts include Duke Special, Echo And The Bunnymen, New Young Pony Club and Prince Buster – hardly the usual festival fare. For more information and to buy tickets visit www.secretgardenparty.com
