News that Queens Of The Stone were forced to tone down the sexiness of their latest video under pressure from music TV inspired us to put together this list of filthy vids...
Queens Of The Stone Age – Sick Sick Sick
A half-naked vixen gyrates against a backdrop of lysergic, headache-inducing colours, suggesting some kind of hallucinatory/masturbatory drug nightmare. Just like every other QOTSA video then.
The Cribs – Men’s Needs
In which singer Ryan Jarman gets decapitated by a naked woman. You won’t find the uncensored version on Youtube, for obvious reasons, but you can watch it here.
Nine Inch Nails – Happiness In Slavery
This cheery clip from 1992, in which a man is shown getting voluntarily tortured, raped and finally killed by a pitiless machine, was never likely to get played on The Chart Show. Watch it here.
Madonna – Justify My Love
An undeniably sexy video, but it’s quaint to think MTV banned Justify My Love when, these days, even thinly disguised porn like this gets mainstream heavy rotation.
The Prodigy – Smack My Bitch Up
Containing scenes of cocaine-snorting, drink-driving, vomiting and violent sex, Jonas Akerlund’s promo couldn’t have been more self-consciously “controversial” had it opened with mocked-up footage of Princess Diana giving the Nazi salute while stoving a disabled child’s head in with a monkey wrench. Go on, watch it for old time’s sake.

Don't forget 2 Live Crew's Me So Horny. Didn't they try to ban Aphex Twin's Windowlicker as well? Bloody terrifyng, that was.

they also pretty much screwed over nin's "closer" video. Plus most music channels scrambled the innuendos in electric six's "gay bar"
