The White Stripes' Icky Thump tour just gets weirder. Gigs on buses, gigs for Chelsea Pensioners... and now a gig lasting just one second.
This was their performance on Monday (July 16) on George Street in St. John's, Canada. It might be the shortest gig ever, but the shortest song? We suspect grindcore brutes Napalm Death might have something to say about that.

Jack white just doesn't stop being cool.Frankly though, I'd be pissed if I'd trekked all the way from the back arse of nowhere to see them.At least make the show two notes long...

I have a feeling that that wasn't the full thing. If I had schlepped all the way out just to see them and possible pay some money to get in, I'd be pissed.

I'm sorry Rabaka but Jack White has stopped being cool a long, long time ago. He's nothing but a made-up projection of his former self. And, for the sake of moderation, i won't say anything about W.S.' current music... that's it.

It wasn't really copying off the chillis. It was merely a free gig to round off their accomplishment of a gig in every province in canada. And it was free! I guess it was a bit of a bummer to have queued up all that time and not get a decent set but they did get a world record instead?!
And Massi! What's wrong with their current music? They're (he's) constantly producing amazing tracks that stay true to the W.S's original ideas and style.
Plus he's producing music with other bands to push past the W.S's limitations.
This gigs blasé attitude is what makes it so cool and not just some publicity stunt. (A tilt of the hat Mr White)
