Amy Winehouse is the early favourite to win this year's Mercury Music Prize, although Arctic Monkeys, who won last year, aren't far behind in the running.
Here at Q we reckon Bat For Lashes is well worth a flutter at 16/1 - her brilliantly esoteric Fur And Gold album may appeal to a judging panel eager to assert their leftfield credentials after last year's rather predictable result. It's also nice to see the panel following tradition by once again compiling a list dominated by trendy, indie-leaning acts - plus one name seemingly thrown in with the sole aim of making everyone go, "Eh?" Basquiat Strings, your time is now.
Anyway, here's the full list of nominees, plus the latest betting from Ladbrokes.
5/2 Amy Winehouse – Back to Black
5/1 Arctic Monkeys – Favourite Worst Nightmare
7/1 Maps – We Can Create
8/1 The View – Hats Off to the Buskers
8/1 Klaxons – Myths of the Near Future
8/1 Jamie T – Panic Prevention
12/1 Dizzee Rascal – Maths and English
12/1 Fionn Regan – The End of History
