  • I'm a huge fan of the Manics and also The Clash, and am aware that the lads are too. I recently saw footage of Conan O'Brien asking John Lydon what he thought of The Clash. He said he didn't like them, just a load of old music wrapped around some Karl Marx quotes and that Paul Simonon was a rubbish bass player. My question is: How do the Manics rate John Lydon, The Sex Pistols & PIL???

  • I've read that James admires Napoleon for 'the way he retook France' yet in Revol he is included as one of the self-obsessed/Love struck leaders. Was James ever in conflict with this lyric? Or am I mistaken in my interpretation of Revol?

Now we're officially part of the Myspace generation and most teenagers musical tastes are based soley on Last fm lists does this make you feel you have to work harder to reach your audiences then maybe you would have to ten years ago?

also how do you feel about blogging and sites like myspace is it the musical revolution everyone claims it to be, or do musicians abuse the easily accessible nature of the internet to make themselves successful long before they're ready for the limelight?
