After the gloomy introspection of 2005's Devils And Dust, it's a joy to report that Bruce Springsteen's new single Radio Nowhere is a driving, full-bore rocker.
It's the most instantly addictive track he's written in years, though the route-one melody conceals a dark heart: "This is radio nowhere, is there anybody alive out there?" Lyrically, we're on similar territory to Nebraska - a world of empty highways and crackly radio signals.
Radio Nowhere the first track to be taken from Magic, Springsteen's first studio album with the E Street Band since 2002's The Rising. It's released 1 October.
Listen to Radio Nowhere at The Hype Machine.
