Comments

Shack, the acclaimed Scouse collective much beloved of Noel Gallagher, will play an exclusive acoustic show at Q’s monthly live music night – Q The Music Club Live At The Hospital – on Thursday, 18 October.

Formed in 1988 from the ashes of Pale Fountains by songwriting brothers Michael (vocals) and John (guitars) Head, Shack have released a string of excellent albums steeped in ’60s psychedelia and quality tunes. Last year’s On The Corner Of Miles And Gil was among Q’s Albums Of The Year. A retrospective best of, Time Machine, is out now.

Tickets for the show are free and will be issued on a strictly first come, first served basis. You can register for a pair of tickets by emailing your contact details, including mobile phone number, to q@emap.com. Please mention 'Shack tickets' in the subject heading.

The Hospital is located on Endell Street in London’s Covent Garden. Doors will open at 7.30pm, with Shack due onstage at 8pm.

  • how does it feel to be loved & respected by the biggest names in british music - ie Townshend - Gallagher - Paolo Hewitt - Pete Wylie!!

Is that a spur? or is it just a very pleasing notion.

  • Nah, Doddy - its Thursday: the night after they play Shepherds Bush

Great news this - it'd only take Jonathon Ross to play Comedy a couple of times...

  • I've seen Shack many times over the years, sometimes brilliant, sometimes shambolic, always enjoyable. Last night (18th Oct at the Hospital) was truly the best I've ever seen them. The were absolutley superb. Stunning.
