Jacob Golden free download

Jacob Golden is not like other singer-songwriters: he prefers to play shows in people’s living rooms, rather than pubs and clubs. He recorded his excellent second album Revenge Songs, not in a hi-tech studio, but in an underground, concrete-walled art gallery.

The Californian’s music, too, is more idiosyncratic than his image as an effete, pullover-wearing troubadour would suggest. Cushioning his tremulous lead vocals in gorgeous layers of Simon & Garfunkel-style harmonies, he creates a sound that is both intimate and yet faintly other-worldly, like a one-man choir.
