Former drummer in indie also-rans Ladyfuzz, 23-year-old Ben Esser seems destined for greater things on his own. Geeky electro pop is his thing, which is helpful when, like that bloke from Hot Chip, you look exactly like Brains from Thunderbirds. Headlock is a taster for his debut album, due next year and currently being produced by Paul Epworth (Kate Nash, Bloc Party).
