Kings Of Leon and The Verve to headline Glastonbury

According to insiders, Kings Of Leon and The Verve will headline the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury 2008, on Friday (27 June) and Sunday (29) nights respectively.

We now have a full complement of headliners since, as previously reported, Jay-Z will definitely top the bill on Saturday (28 June). As yet there is no news on who will headline the Other Stage.

  • anyone who is doubting KOL doesnt know what they are talking about. I went to Glasto, Reading and V last year and KOL were the best of all the festivals.

    I saw RHCP at Reading last year and they had nothing. Performed there songs well but gave nothing back to the crowd. they looked like they didnt care.

    Kings of Leon will blow glastonbury away. Good choice Michael.

  • I know Michael Eavis was trying to appeal to a "younger audience" (who doesn't these days) but this is a poor line-up for headliners.
    If I was trying to get a ticket for Glastonbury, after seeing this line-up, I would'nt bother!.

    the verve would be better preaching "the drugs don't work" to 100,000 wasteheads on a sunday night i'm guessing..take 'em the following weekend

    Last Yr at reading they fuckin owned evryone and were easily band of the weekend

    their the best band around at the minute fully deserve it just like arctic monkeys did last yr

    and as for the bloke hu wanted radiohed

    hu the fuck wants to hear some twat singin about bein a creep when there wasted. There songs r so downbeat, there so shit. MOST OVERATED BAND EVER!
