Amy undergoes tests after collapse

Comments

Amy Winehouse is undergoing tests after fainting at home earlier this week. The troubled singer was being kept at the London Clinic after she fell ill at her home and initial tests to discover the reason for the incident were “inconclusive”.

She fainted on Monday and an assistant who was with her stopped her suffering any serious injury by stopping her fall. Winehouse’s dad Mitch took her to hospital "as a precaution", according to her spokesman.

"She seems to be fine in herself, but they are taking their time to be sure," the spokesman added.

Winehouse is due to play Glastonbury Festival in little over a week’s time, scheduled to appear before headliner Jay-Z on the Pyramid Stage on Saturday night. A recent appearance at the Rock In Rio festival in Lisbon, Portugal, saw the singer slurring her words on stage, unable to play guitar because of a hand injury and battling a throat infection. However she did manage to perform a show at a Moscow art gallery for Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich earlier this month.

In May the singer was told by police that she would not face charges over a video which appeared to show her using drugs.
Monday’s collapse occurred

The 24-year-old had been signing autographs for fans outside her Camden home before her collapse.
