Oasis were forced to halt a show for 15 minutes in Canada after Noel Gallagher was attacked by a stage invader. Noel and the band were playing at the Virgin Festival in Toronto at the weekend when a man ran across the stage and pushed him to the floor during a performance of Morning Glory.
Security staff ran on stage to pull the man, who was later arrested, away while the rest band walked off-stage. The gig was temporarily halted as the band regained their composure before returning to play at the event which attracted around 25,000 fans..
The incident was captured on film and posted to YouTube. Singer Liam appears to use his own methods - with his fists flailing - to discourage the fan from making any other attacks.
The incident was reminiscent of the notorious show at Newcastle Riverside in 1994 at which a member of the crowd clambered on to the stage and punched Noel in the face as they opened a UK tour. The gig had to be abandoned and there were scuffles after the band refused to continue the performance.

This was a great show. They sounded amazing. Noel came out after this and played "Don't Look Back in Anger". If that isn't professional, nothing is. Liam reacted the way anyone would. They were attacked from behind. Where was security? How was Liam supposed to know if the guy had a knife or some other weapon. Oasis IS a great band. Keep hating them all you want. They have plenty of fans. Go listen to Radiohead and wallow in self pity. Wankers.

if it wer up to me the fan wud be sharing his head with a horses ass, and noel should get a brand new award for acting so professionaly and rocking the real oasis fans that wer there. And liam shud hav smacked him harder and thrown a few more punches!!!!!!!!!!! Cant wait to see them in UK tour

I have seen all the haters on youtube. they are right cunts, they wouldn't say half the stuff they have said if they had to say it to liam or noels or any oasis fans face. Fuckers. the attacker and haters are absolute jokes.

I was at a glasgow show where some knobend chucked a bottle on stage. Noel walked off and the band followed! They did NOT come back on!! you know why? cos they were playing SHITE! they were not professional then and also they have not written a decent song since morning glory! their lyrics are shite and irritatingly mascarading as vaguely profound...eh no!!
Also i could kick fuck out of all of them!
The are not even a SHADOW of the roses!
