Own a rare Oasis art print

Comments

Acclaimed rock photographer Jill Furmanovsky spent months with Oasis as they worked on their new album Dig Out Your Soul. As the band slaved away in the hallowed spaces of Abbey Road’s Studio 2, Jill built up a portfolio of images over the many weeks of recording and creativity.

She then assembled a montage which she calls a ‘philm’ (so called because it is in essence more like a film than a photo) to capture a living memento of the album’s recording.

Own this and you will find yourself looking in every corner for details to spot Noel wheeling a pram (his son Donovan had just been born), Liam running a violin bow over his top lip, sleeping on the couch, and singing in a rigged up tent; producer Dave Sardy surveying the scene from the top of the famous Studio 2 staircase, Andy at the keyboards and Gem on bass with lyrics to the track To Be Where There's Life floating around.

Just 20 prints have been produced, four of them signed by the band and you can bid for these in an online auction organised by Jill’s Rockarchive gallery with 70 per cent of the money raised going towards Noel’s chosen charity the Teenage Cancer Trust.
