Robert Plant has dismissed claimes he is to join a Led Zeppelin reunion tour next summer.
The singer wished the rest of the band well with any future collaborations but said it was “frustrating and ridiculous” for the stories about any further reunions to be circulating. The latest speculation came from a report in The Sun in which a band source claimed he would be taking part in shows next summer for which the rest of the band were already in rehearsals.
But his publicist said today that following his dates with Alison Krauss, he “has no intention whatsoever of touring with anyone for at least the next two years” and he “will not be touring or recording with Led Zeppelin”.
In a statement Plant said: "It's both frustrating and ridiculous for this story to continue to rear its head when all the musicians that surround the story are keen to get on with their individual projects and move forward.
"I wish Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones and Jason Bonham nothing but success with any future projects."
Speculation began to mount after the hugely successful one-off concert at the 02 Arena last summer which was part of a tribute to Ahmet Ertegun.
The O2 concert was the band's first performance together for a quarter of a century, apart from a brief - and poorly received - performance - at Live Aid in 1985.

I think this is the last straw for a possible reunion tour for zeppelin. If plant is so against it, I dont think there is any possiblity of seeing the last survived members of this outstanding band together. As much as I'd love to see all 3 perform in front of thousands once again, one might think that a young, rich voice bellowing the tunes of rock legends wouldn't be a half bad idea. The only question is...who??
