Qthemusic.com is thrilled to offer the chance to win tickets to next week's launch of matter, the new live music venue within the impressive 02 Arena complex at North Greenwich. Created by the good folk behind the Fabric nightclub in Farringdon, matter is a stunning 2,600 capacity venue with a state-of-the-art soundsystem, a body kinetic dancefloor and 360-degree visuals – and you could be there to witness the grand opening!
Playing matter's Friday, September 19, launch night will be UNKLE, Mo'Wax founder James Lavelle's electronic rock pioneers,
who will be joined by collaborators Ian Brown and, making his live UNKLE debut, The Cult's Ian Astbury. King Monkey Ian Brown featured on UNKLE's Top
40 hits Be There (1999) and Reign (2004), while Astbury lent his familiar warble to Burn My Shadow, a haunting track from 2007’s eerie War Stories album.
Other faces and names from the UNKLE collective will also make appearances, while support for this exclusive show will come from Midlands electro-poppers Late Of The Pier and the Q-approved Californian alt-rock nutcakes Iglu & Hartly. Radio 1's Huw Stevens will man the DJ decks.
