It Hugs Back - Work Day
As any viewer of Storymakers on Cbeebies knows: “Hugs are squeezy, hugs are nice”. Let’s face it, everyone loves a hug and listening to It Hugs Back is a pretty good aural approximation of having a close friend throw their arms around you and holding you close to give you some much needed reassurance.
The 4AD-signed band make, what they describe as, “soft-centered dream pop” with a “blend of endearing shoegaze and heart-on-sleeves vulnerability”. You can tell from that summation that they are the sort of band you could bring home and not fear any TV lobbing incidents; they would probably help to trim your lawn and do the shopping for an elderly neighbour.
