Chris Martin has continually talked about his admiration for Girls Aloud in interviews in recent months. Now he has cemented his relationship with the band by adding them to the bill as support act for one of Coldplay’s Wembley shows next year.
The band have added a second date at the stadium on September 18, for which Girls Aloud will be the only support. The show will supplement the sold-out show on September 19 for which Jay-Z has already been unveiled as the unlikely support, as he is on the rest of the tour dates at Manchester’s Old Trafford Cricket Ground on September 12 and Glasgow’s Hampden Park on September 16.
In an interview with Q’s July issue, Martin said: ‘I’ve got a Girls Aloud fixation today. I want to do a cover of Call The Shots. It’s the combination of being extremely physically attractive with songs that are great, it’s more than any man can take.”

When you are willing to die for what you believe in, you are a courageous
person with no doubt, Thomas More is with no doubt, is a courageous man. Thomas
More wrote a great book called Utopia, an ideal community. An ideal which is still used
till this day. Thomas More also refused to sign the Act of Supremacy, which would
declare King Henry VIII, the head of the Church of England. For opposing King Henry
VIII he was beheaded. Thomas More teaches us that it is better to die at rest than to live
in regret.
