It is more than four years since U2 last released a whole album of new material. Now the countdown has begun to the next chapter in U2's long and illustrious history with the release of 12th studio album in March, No Line On The Horizon.
You can get the inside story on the band’s state of mind and how the new album came to be in an exclusive series of extensive interview with the whole band in the new edition of Q, on sale on December 31.
But to whet your appetite, Q’s editor in chief Paul Rees gives you an inkling of how the album is sounding as he writes about meeting up with the band, his impressions of the music and being whisked off in a car with Bono to hear raw versions of the new material.
