Another year almost over, Q looks back over the past 12 months to give you its countdown of the 50 best albums of 2008 - and gives you the chance to win all of them.   • Q's most popular albums of the year would be more appropriate. Music critics should have an extensive knowledge of music beyond the collection HMV stocks on its shelves, after all it is your job.

  • I cannot argue with many of the albums that made it into the Top 50 for 2008 but for me there have been two stand out albums that should have been included. My personal favourite, Saturnalia - The Gutter Twins and Jackson Browne's Time the Conqueror.

  • decent list for 2008 but Dispose of headache voiced,hype machine Duffy and insert Gossip In The Grain by Ray Lamontagne which is my no1

    tv on the radio had a five star review but are in 7th?

  • Late Of The Pier's 'Fantasy Black Channel' deserved to at least be in the top 10...
    It's an amazing album that's got a large chance of winning the Mercury Prize.

  • Kaiser Chiefs album was absoloutely dreadful, music for 8 year olds and that is being kind.

  • i think coldplay's album viva la vida or death and all his friends should have been number 1 not number 3 come on fleet foxes album beats coldplays come on coldplay are suppose to be bigger then them and kings of leon to so whats with that man because there title track viva la vida was the biggest song of 2008 not sex on fire or use somebody .
