On Christmas Day, Top Of The Pops returns for a seasonal special. To mark the occasion we present one of the greatest moment’s in the programme’s long history. During a live performance in 1988 All About Eve performed but a problem with the studio monitors meant they couldn’t actually hear the backing track which was played to viewers. Nervous foot-tapping, bemused expressions and general embarrassment all round. And if you are stuck for something to help you wind down on Boxing Day, there is a fascinating documentary on Radio 4 at 4pm.
