Q Radio has signed up its biggest name yet with esteemed singer-songwriter, political activist and Q magazine contributor Billy Bragg making his debut on January 18.
The musician and campaigner is to host a monthly show for the station, presenting post-Sunday lunch two-hour productions from 3pm. Billy tells us, "I'm looking forward to playing some great music. I think the best type of DJ is a music fan, so I'll be playing music that I'm enthusiastic about, be it old or new. Occasionally I'll take the listener off-piste to hear some really interesting music, hopefully without them getting too piste-off!"
Billy's first show will be repeated the following Tuesday at 9pm, with his next show scheduled for February 15 and the third Sunday of the month thereon. You can also catch Billy's show - and many other quality Q productions - online for up to seven days at the show archive here.

You're better employed listening and playing the music of others than singing Billy. Terrible singing voice.

franswar hardis ,,, don’t think iv spelt it very well, but can you give me the correct spelling of this singer, with the track name, please. I think Billy said the track was done in 1968 but again I might be wrong. Thank you,,, Steve

Gordon Jelley should consider the song by Morrisey - Sing Your Life. Billy I think you have a lovely singing voice, a lovely singing voice.

Gordon Jelley, suggest you get back to the soulless world of the x factor, Bragg has a great voice and what's more, when he sings something he means it!

Excellent music selection! Grovier than expected. Would it be possible to make a relation of the tracks played?
Thanks.

Billy, it may be of great relief to you to know that I, the real Gordon Jelley, wish to inform you that the impostor using the same name has absolutely no idea when it comes to an understanding of vocal talent. A singer my dear GJ, is absolutely not the same as a vocalist, and you Billy, are a great Vocalist, both in speech and in music. Saw you at the Lonnie Donegan memorial concert, along with many other great vocalists includong Rolf and Van. Any detrimental comments folowing this one in my name is by an impostor.

I'm Gordon Jelley my breath is smelly I don't want to Bragg, but I have to say I did love Magg...
Maggie Thatcher If I could catch her I'd make her mine, down a hole just like a mole digging deep to bring up coal. I'm Gordon Jelley my breath is smelly.

I'm an ignorant fool who likes to pick on and provoke people. It must be something about my immature personality. Hopefully I'll disappear for good one day.
