Franz Ferdinand are rumoured to be in the frame for a headliner slot at this summer’s Glastonbury Festival, Q understands.
The band, who released third album Tonight: Franz Ferdinand this week, are said to be headlining the Other Stage on Saturday night when the festival takes place at the end of June. They played an unannounced secret show at the festival in 2008.
Lily Allen – soon to release It’s Not Me, It’s You - is also rumoured to be on the bill for the annual event.
The event has had a huge take-up this year and potential Glasto-goers have until February 1 to pay the balance of the ticket price after paying their £10 deposit.
Organisers are staying tight-lipped about the headliners until contracts are signed off but other acts who are thought to be performing this years include Blur, Bruce Springsteen and Neil Young.

I think Franz would be great. Lose the Lily. I find her and her music boring.
