U2 tie up week-long residency on Letterman

Comments

U2 are to become the first band to be given a full week of appearances on US TV’s respected Late Show with David Letterman.

The band will appear each weeknight from March 2 to 6 as the CBS programme’s musical guests as they continue their promotional march for new album No Line On The Horizon. The band’s appearances tie in with the release of the album that same week.

The band played new single Get on Your Boots at the Grammy Awards on Sunday night and are due to appear at the Brits next week. The band’s last appearance on Letterman was eight years ago.
