Sound & Vision – the annual music heritage event – will this year see a number of iconic images auctioned for charity. Among the works being sold are amazing shots such as the stunning picture of Paul Simonon which graces the cover of The Clash’s London Calling and incredible photos of Keith Moon, Eric Clapton and more.

We have created a gallery of some of these images which you can see here. The shots are being auctioned on February 26 at Abbey Road Studios for Sound & Vision, an evening which will raise money for Cancer Research UK.

The event, hosted by Radio 2 presenter Bob Harris, includes a one-night only exhibition of photographs and auction of music memorabilia, allowing guests a chance to own a piece of music history. Paul Weller, Lemar and Diana Jones will also perform on the night.

Now in its 4th year, Sound & Vision has raised over £400,000 for Cancer Research UK and will be attended by 400 guests including the winner of the Q Quiz from the Feb 2009 edition of the magazine. Also up for auction will be an Epiphone guitar donated by Gibson and signed by Paul Weller, Slash, Brian May and Justin Hawkins.
